 3.  a) The Qualities of my magazine cover that make it look effective:

The first thing that makes my magazine cover look efficient is the variety of colours I used in it.  I used different colours throughout my cover, but I used 3 main colours so my cover can stand out, be attractive and not confuse the reader with too many colours. The three main colours I found efficient going with my travel magazine cover include blue, yellow and orange. The side colors that make my magazine cover look attractive are red and green. These different colours make the cover eye catching.  I blended in many of the pictures, including the background so the more important or exciting pictures and stories are easily read and seen. This makes the cover easy to understand. Its visually pleasing because anyone can read it to imagine themself on a relaxing beacch!

1.  If  a 300 dpi and 72 dpi image is printed in the same size, the 300 dpi will come out to be more clearer because it is more detailed and contains more pixels/resolution.  The 72 dpi image won’t come out as clear as it should be.

2. A picture created at 1 dpi will be very unclear and blurry.

1. For the combination tools I decided to use the magnetic lasso tool and the magic wand. In the beginning I used the magnetic lasso tool to clear most of the background, and later used the magic wand to clear the smaller left over pieces that I didn’t want in the picture.

2. I found the magnetic lasso tool the most efficient and helpful to use to clear backgrounds because it helped me get rid of most of the background pieces without any trouble.

3.  The feather and modify tool enables me to expand and contract the background.
